My Story

Kwame A. Insaidoo Jr. is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of International Relations and Counselor in the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at Farmingdale State College. With over 15 years of academic and professional experience across the United States, Ghana, and the United Nations, Kwame brings a global perspective to education, governance, and student development. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education and Leadership at SUNY Empire State University and holds an M.Phil. in African Studies from the University of Ghana and an M.A. in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.

Kwame has worked internationally as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Ghana and as a Planning and Operations Officer for Ghana’s Public Records and Archives Administration Department, where he led training and quality assurance for civil service operations. In New York, he interned with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, conducting research on e-governance, human development, and international public administration. These roles reflect his ability to navigate diverse institutional systems and foster cross-cultural understanding.

As a published scholar, Kwame co-authored, "Ghana: An Incomplete Independence or a Dysfunctional Democracy," a critical analysis of Ghana’s political evolution and democratic challenges. His academic research also includes work on the sustainability of Ghana's National Health Insurance Scheme and employee motivation in nonprofit organizations in New York. A certified Diversity Equity Inclusion and Social Justice instructor, he is deeply committed to social justice, youth empowerment, and building inclusive communities through education and advocacy.
